Angel Hair Pendant

I am a professional jeweller by trade - I repair gold antiques and secondhand mostly. However, after seeing some of the fantastic wire wraps on DA I was inspired to give it a go!

I have loads of stone I have collected over the years, some of the jewellers I work beside save up their pretty ones for me (I am a young woman working in a field full of old men).

This is rutilated quartz - also called angel hair quartz. I love this stone, it has strands of a titanium dioxide mineral trapped in it giving the impression of 'angel hair'. This is my first attempt at wire wrapping in sterling silver with my blunt pliers!

My mother saw it and aquired it. Naughty Mum.
